Health

 

The health system is undergoing continual change: society is aging rapidly, new infectious diseases are a threat to the population and health costs are rising constantly. The scarcity of financial resources means that topics, such as freedom of choice and rationing, are the subject of ever widening discussion while prevention and health promotion are simultaneously becoming increasingly important. There is a major need for reform. Communication can help in creating transparency, holding constructive debates and balancing interests with a view to finding workable solutions for the future. By utilising appropriate strategies and campaigns tailored to the target groups, communication can also improve health behaviour among the population.
