Corinne Goetschel, born in the USA in 1961, grew up in Basel and studied Forensic Science and Criminology at the University of Lausanne. In 1989, after gaining several years of experience in teaching and research, as well as in science journalism, she became Head of the Forensic Department of the Jura Cantonal Police as Commissioner. In 1993, her appointment as press officer for Swiss Federal Council member Arnold Koller (Federal Department of Justice and Police) saw her make a real transition into Public Relations. She spent 15 years running the agency CGC, specialising in Public Relations, Public Affairs and Scientific Affairs and, since July 2010, she has been in charge of projects dealing with scientific and socio-political issues as a partner of advocacy.
